This is the third time I have used Hollowells to carry out the funeral arrangements for a member of my family. On every occasion they have provided a caring and exemplary service. Nothing has been too much trouble, every person in their team has been kind and helpful. After the recent funeral of my husband many of the people present said to me “if you can have a good funeral that was one”. I feel Hollowells played a big part in giving the family a chance to say goodbye in the way they wanted.
Thank you very much for taking care of mum’s funeral arrangements. As a church organist I get a flavour of the way quite a few local firms conduct themselves at the church service and I would not have trusted anyone else but Hollowells. Everything was done professionally and sensitively and all the people I dealt with were very easy and polite to deal with.
As usual we couldn’t fault your service or your staff. You can tell what type of business you are from the reception staff through to the Funeral Directors. It was brilliant. It is a difficult day but when you have got people doing their job properly, it helps. Thank you.
I just wanted to say what a lovely funeral you arranged for my aunt Audrey Wilks on Friday 11th July.
Special thanks go to Dale who quietly and calmly let me know how the progress of the service would work at the crematorium.
Thank you all for your guidance and caring attitude.
You’re picking up the pieces for the bereaved. Thank you to David Phillips.
On behalf of all the family of Robert Neil Tebbutt who was a much loved dad, grandad, great grandad and great great grandad we would like to say a heartfelt thank you for making the day a most perfect one and giving him the send off he thoroughly deserved.
From the first meeting with Anne O’Neill, to Peter Wyllie the celebrant who was recommended by you, Amy who who was with us on the day, the drivers and the pole bearers who help instruct family members on the day how to carry the coffin so they could make the final journey with him I would like to say a big thank you on behalf of the family for making the the whole process more of a celebration of his life rather than the end of it. You helped all of us turn what was a very sad time into the most perfect ending.
It was lovely. I’ve used you twice before and cannot fault you. Amy was exceptional; she made it and she really cared, it wasn’t just another funeral to her.
Dear Simon & Team
I wanted to thank you and to express our thanks for all the help and advise given to us during the very difficult time of the death of our son Jack Jarvis.
Your service was exceptional from our first introduction, the final day and afterwards.
What impressed us was the empathy, understanding and the guidance from everybody at Hollowell’s Funeral Directors throughout this awful process for us, and the respect that you all paid to our son to give our son the final goodbye he would have been proud of.
On our first introduction you gave us a book “When We Remember, Inspiration & Integrity” by Melissa Abraham., this is a beautiful book and gave us comfort as it is a balanced and insightful book for all, whether you are religious or not. During the first meeting you guided us through the process in an empathetic, structured, respectful, and practical way to give Jack what we believed he wanted, a big point for me was “we were emotional wrecks not knowing what to do, or how to go about things and you guided us”. One thing I remember you saying was “we don’t up sell” which for people in emotional turmoil means you as a company do not take advantage of people in a vulnerable situation.
When we visited Jack, I was touched that as we left, I said his Mum has rearranged his hair, immediately the response was “I will let XXXXXX know not to re-arrange his hair as Mum has fluffed his hair” again a real personal touch.
The coordination of the day itself from are view was faultless, especially with a second party (The Army) getting involved in the organization also, as they with yourselves wanted to give Jack the send-off he wanted and deserved.
We thank you for recommending Mr. Andrew Fox the Independent Celebrant who with yourselves celebrated Jack’s life, he too was respectful and empathetic and provided words that would have met Jack’s final wishes.
I thank you all, with ALL my heart.
My final word:-
Hollowell’s Funeral Directors are True, Honest, Empathetic and Compassionate Service Provider. I will be recommending your services to everyone.
Kind Regards
Marc
Hi Janene,
I just wanted to say a huge thank you.
Since the moment that we first met to begin to organise mum’s funeral, you brought great comfort and support to a difficult situation. Having to make decisions about things that I never thought I’d be having to make yet, was made easier with your guidance and experience. At each stage, you explained the process step by step and at every point you were there on hand to ensure we were fully supported.
Every time we met, your friendly smile, reassuring wink and comforting hug brought great comfort. Knowing that you were by my side each step of the way was reassuring. Thank you for helping us to give mum the best send off that we could have possibly given her. Your expertise and your personal touch made a difficult situation manageable. I’m sure that mum would have felt very flattered with how special she was made to feel.
Thank you again for everything.
