Funeral Donations

Hollowells will receive charitable donations being made in memory of a loved one.
All funeral donations received by us are banked into our special Charities account at the NatWest Bank, Northampton. A strict account of all charitable donations is kept and a list of donors, with the total that has been donated, is notified to the family.

  • No administration fees are applied, every penny goes to the nominated charity or charities.

  • Each account is held open for 6 to 8 weeks following the funeral.

  • Cheques can be made to the Charity or to Hollowells.

Gift Aid Logo‘Gift Aid’ is a simple way of increasing the amount of a memorial donation.
This is because for every £1 donated the charity receives 25p from the Inland Revenue in tax that you have already paid. You can only use ‘Gift Aid’ if you are a U.K. taxpayer.

How to make a Charitable Donation?

  • There will be a collection box and Gift Aid forms at the funeral.

  • Online using our Donations Form below.

  • Cheques or Postal Orders can be mailed to:

Card processing fees will be paid by Hollowells so the full amount of your donation will go to the designated charity(s). You can further boost that by selecting to Gift Aid your donation (if you are a tax payer).

    Please notify the charity if you:
    - want to cancel this declaration
    - change your name or home address
    - no longer pay sufficient tax on your income and/or capital gains
    If you pay Income Tax at the higher or additional rate and want to receive the additional tax relief due to you, you must include all your Gift Aid donations on your Self Assessment tax return or ask HM Revenue and Customs to adjust your tax code.
