I wanted to thank you and Hollowells for the wonderful support you and your colleagues gave me and my family for my aunt’s funeral. You were always so sympathetic and helpful, as well as professional. Not living locally, it was also good to know the phone is always answered promptly. The day went every bit as well as I’d hoped.
I was so pleased with the final Order of Service – I really appreciated your graphic designer Clare spending the time to get the text right, and she also improved the colour on the back-page photos.
And the music was all played in at exactly the right moments.
You and your colleagues also made ending the service and being able to spend time with guests in the memorial garden go very smoothly. Along with ensuring everyone took a wildflower seed envelope, and that they saw the option for a charity donation. I was also very pleased with the floral tribute – which looked beautiful on a table at the reception.
The reception went well at The Royal Oak in Blisworth – their Acorn Barn is a good venue, with access to the beer garden, and they were very pleasant and helpful with the catering. Thank you again for all your help – I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Hollowells.

This has been such a terrible time but I feel compelled to offer my most heartfelt thanks for the incredible sensitive and tasteful way your entire staff have treated me. From the first contact the two lads who came to collect Barry were very courteous and helpful. Meeting Chloe was like meeting up with an old friend, she is certainly a valuable asset to your company and should be extremely proud of the way she conducted herself right form the first encounter through the whole process. Even being kind enough to personally take the flowers to my home after dropping us off at the wake. Keith put into pictures the design that I could only have dreamt of in the service sheet and once again all contact with him was so smooth and trouble free. And last but by no means least I have to offer my thanks to Edna (Hollowells Vintage type Hearse). Such a beautiful and dignified Old Lady who carried out her duties without missing a beat. A big thank-you to her too.

I would like to express, on behalf of the family, our sincere thanks to your team, and in particular Chloe, for the support and kindness shown to us at a time when we were all feeling very upset and emotional. From our initial meeting until the funeral day itself, Chloe was readily available to answer any queries we had. This was very reassuring and ensured dad’s funeral went ahead in accordance with our wishes

I would like to thank all concerned for the sympathetic way the above funeral was handled. With particular reference to Ann who was really helpful on our initial visit, trying to accommodate all our needs and Amy who with kindness and support helped us get through the drive to and from the crematorium. 

 I am sorry I was not at home when the orchid arrived but it was greatly appreciated, thank you.

At the end of February 2021, we had the funeral for my mum Helen Course, and Hollowells went above and beyond to make sure we could give my mum the best send off. Amy from Hollowells was really pleasant and made sure everything ran smoothly, we have requested that Amy do the internment for my mum as well as she was very professional and nothing was to much trouble.

Your family firm conducted my husbands funeral in January, I felt I had to drop you a message to congratulate you on your staff, everyone one of them from the ladies on reception, the lad who does the printing, the gentlemen who drove the cars, Helen who conducted Alan’s interment and I am sure there is a few people who work behind the scenes who we do not see need my thanks.

But I must make a special mention for Chloe what a lovely lady nothing was too much trouble for her, and she showed us such care and compassion, so from my family and I “THANK YOU SO MUCH “ for making a very difficult time a little bit easier.

Although I have lived in Northamptonshire for many years I was unaware of any funeral services in the locality so when my 96 year old mother was admitted to a nursing home I was at a loss when they asked me for my choice of funeral director. I did a bit of checking but the home said some nice things about your team so I made contacted. How right they were from the moment I made contact your team could not have been more helpful even when I was contacted with the information that mum’s body had been received & I said I wasn’t sure what to do next I was told the steps that would occur & even given the telephone number for the  registrar. As I say everyone has been kind & professional but I would like to especially highlight Chloe who we met to organise the funeral, she was incredibly kind & helpful, nothing was too much trouble for her even to sorting out a Saturday cremation as one son is a senior school teacher & is very busy at this time of year with exams etc & she even made sure that it was  a mid morning service so both sons could drive down on the day.

When we were aware that Mum was end of life, I contacted yourselves and was supported through the process of what needed to take place when Mum did pass. That took a little while, but when the time came, Hollowells took Mum into their care.

Amy was appointed as our Funeral Director and was exceptional. I was in France at the point Mum passed and was dealing with all arrangements remotely. Amy kept me on track with what was needed and in agreeing the smaller details. I didn’t meet Amy in person until the day of Mum’s funeral, 24th July. I spoke to several members of the team over the time we were planning, everyone was kind, friendly and helpful.

My brother and I were supported on the day by the whole team. My brother took a late decision that he, along with his son and son in law wished to be pall bearers, which the team enabled.

The little touches, like accommodating butterflies on the order of service, and returning pictures, flowers and big butterfly back to St Crispin’s Retirement Village for the wake were all accommodated seamlessly.  Jayne our celebrant was also excellent.

 Dad wanted to see Mum in the chapel of rest and Amy and the team did a fantastic job of preparing Mum. Dad was so happy to see Mum looking more like her old self and at rest. This has been a huge source of comfort for him.

 I have sent personal thank you cards to Amy and her team, and to Jayne, but I wanted to share our positive experience with you. Things could not have been any better, we honoured all Mum’s wishes in her final journey and Dad was so impressed with how everything went.

Thank you for your team’s efforts to deliver an excellent service in respect of mother earlier today. We were all very pleased with the arrangement and coordination of the event, particularly during these difficult times.
I was especially impressed with the performance of your chosen celebrant, Andrew Fox, who was both friendly and professional. In addition to the personal tributes given by our family members, Andrew made me feel that his tribute, prayers and coffin-side address was equally personal and touching. You’re fortunate to have access to him.
