The Music That Moves Us

Some things you do because they make good business sense. Others you do simply because they matter. Our support of the Northampton Male Voice Choir has always been the latter.

Around ten years ago, the choir found itself at a crossroads. Their previous sponsorship had come to an end, and without new support, this cherished local ensemble faced an uncertain future. Annette, who had long admired the choir, reached out directly to one of its members. The response, she says, was warm and immediate – and Hollowells’ sponsorship began.

For Paul and Annette, this is not simply a business arrangement. Both share a deep love of classical music, and the thought of the Northampton Male Voice Choir being lost to our community was not something they were willing to accept. Ten years on, they remain just as proud to have played a part in keeping it going.

A Community, Not Just a Business

At Hollowells, we have always believed that being part of a community means more than providing a service when it is needed most. It means investing in the things that give our towns their character – the institutions, the arts, the gatherings that bring people together.

The Northampton Male Voice Choir has been a part of this region’s cultural life for generations. It is made up of ordinary people who come together, week after week, for the love of music. That kind of quiet dedication speaks to us. It is, in many ways, not so different from what we try to do ourselves.

Come and See Them

If you have never heard the Northampton Male Voice Choir perform, we would warmly encourage you to do so. They give concerts throughout the year across Northamptonshire, and the experience of hearing voices in harmony, in a local venue, is one that stays with you.

You can find out more about the choir, their upcoming concerts and how to get involved on their website.
