Thinking about a career in funeral care? At Hollowells, we believe that the people behind the profession matter as much as the services we provide. This section offers an honest, behind-the-scenes look at what it means to work in a family-run funeral home – the values we look for, the roles available, and the rewarding reality of supporting families through some of life’s most significant moments. Whether you’re exploring a first career, considering a change, or looking to grow within the profession, you’ll find guidance, insight, and a glimpse of the Hollowells way of working here.

TESTIMONIALS

On behalf of my family I would like to thank Hollowells for the way the funeral was managed throughout. We found your staff to be very professional at all times.  Amy was fantastic and took care of any requests we had. Whilst never easy dealing with such matters, Hollowells put our mind at rest from start to finish. Once again,  please pass our gratitude on to your team.

Just a note to say thank you for your excellent professional service you gave for our Dad yesterday, your warmth was greatly received and emotional support you gave to us throughout this difficult time

Really appreciate everything you have done for us

I can only hope that I can meet you around Moulton for a beer rather than under these circumstances again for some considerable time

Appreciates everything you did for our Dad

Chloe was lovely and Sue Homer was brilliant. I’d recommend them to anybody. Both knew the way to show me the right path to go down. It was good to have someone taking care of things and always there. It was just what I needed. I’m so glad we did the pre-paid funeral plan for mum. It was so helpful to know what she wanted.

I would like to thank you on behalf of myself and my brothers for your attentive and sensitive service throughout this very difficult time for our family.  We are most appreciative of the care given by Janene and Dale in particular, but also all members of the team who tended to Dad and our family.

Thank you so much for everything you did to make yesterday special. Your attention to detail and concern right down to the lovely rose petals for the grave made us feel cared for.

It was a wonderful send off for my mum which she would have loved.

Hollowell’s have provided the very best care and attention that I could ever have wished for, Chloe was absolutely wonderful and her kindness, advice and help were over and above.
Chloe is truly an asset to you, she helped us every step of the way, and the moment Aunty came into the care of Hollowells my mind was at ease having spoken with Chloe. The entire team went over and above, keeping me updated at all times, nothing was too much trouble and I am truly grateful for making such an upsetting time of my life a much easier and gentler one.
Thank you, Chloe, and all the fantastic team at Hollowells.

Over the past 24 months unfortunately I have had to arrange three close Family Funerals, Mum, Dad and Sister, this I have never had to do before. Mum and Dad did have a “Funeral Plan” which was arranged with Hollowells years ago. Hollowells/Ann as Funeral Director/Amy who stood in for Ann at my Mum’s Funeral/Keith was amazing helping with Music and Songs/Reception with all my extra questions all helped me going that extra distance with everything I found difficult or any problems or doubts about. Hollowells completely honoured the “Funeral Plan” with no extra costs to the Family.

My Sisters was a very complicated Funeral to arrange again Hollowells were completely understanding and there for me and my Family every step of the way!

Hollowells continues with support/information after the Funeral.

My Family and I are very grateful to Hollowells for their help during these very difficult times and I

would not hesitate to recommend them!

Dave and I would like to thank the team at Hollowell’s for providing a sensitive and supportive service in response to the death of our beloved auntie, Mary. From start to finish, you were professional, sensitive, and so supportive, thank you.Thank you for the beautiful orchid received last week, again, an unexpected extra that gave closure to what could have been a stressful time, if it wasn’t for Hollowell’s looking after us so well.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you!
