It has been a couple of weeks now since mum’s funeral and we are getting back into some kind of a routine. I just wanted to get in touch on behalf of Dad and the Rockingham family to express our thanks for everything you and Hollowells have done for us. From the very first phone call, through to your initial meeting with us and the funeral ceremony, everything was handled with sensitivity, respect, and the utmost professionalism. As a result, we feel we were able to give mum the ‘send off’ she deserved and celebrate her life with family and friends in a manner she would very much have approved of. Our celebrant, Jayne Harcock, captured the essence of mum’s life beautifully and delivered the eulogy with a fitting balance of respect, empathy, and humour. Thank you all for guiding us through this difficult time with such great dignity.

In particular I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to Ann O’Neill. She guided me through the entire process with such kindness, professionalism and efficiency. She and her team were absolutely amazing on the day – it was extremely hot, but they remained outwardly cool (not easy) and professional. They managed to combine professionalism with a human touch and were caring and supportive. I felt confident that my mum was being looked after whilst in your care and I also felt confident that all the necessary arrangements were being taken care of. Ann dealt with everything. 

I really cannot express how thankful I am. I was able to concentrate on the day without worrying about anything.

Just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone at Hollowells for Dad’s funeral. 

It all went very smoothly thanks to everyone’s help. One of my relatives from Scotland commented “how nice and professional” you all were ! (although one of the coffin bearers was unshaven, that did let Hollowells down a tiny bit.)

Being able to book the funeral flowers, the caterer and use your room for the wake, as well as the funeral itself…And pay for it all under one invoice will make payment from Dad’s Estate a breeze ! 

(Please pass on my thanks to the caterer for the lovely food : everyone said the scones were fab!)

(Please also thank the florist who provided a lovely casket spray.)

I was also very impressed that you liaised with the church, vicar, grave diggers etc to get dates when everyone would be available… even before I arrived to choose the casket or book a date ! : it made an unhappy situation a lot easier to bear.

I also want to thank Keith, in Design department for coming up with a lovely Order of Service and interpreting my ideas beautifully. 

In fact, everyone I dealt with at Hollowells was friendly and professional.

I’d like to thank you all at Hollowells for helping to arrange the funeral service for my late husband Steve on 14th January.

During such a sad and difficult period for me it was most comforting to know that Steve was in such loving and caring hands.

From the initial discussions through to the Service on the day, everything was provided with kindness and professionalism – this made a huge difference and I shall remember it forever.

Please also pass on my warm thanks to Rev Martin Swan for a lovely send off from a fellow Chelsea supporter – Steve would have appreciated this so much.

Can I just say what a beautiful day dad’s funeral was. Everything ran to clockwork as you said and your whole team just made the day so much better. I am so pleased we chose yourselves and would happily recommend you in the future. Janene was absolutely lovely from our first meeting and I felt immediately at ease with her and she made what was a difficult day something very special . I am normally the person who takes care of everyone and it was so nice to feel cared for by her. I know the cynical would say it’s her job but in my experience you can’t  fake that level of care and compassion. However all your staff from the lady who took my first phone call to everyone involved with the actual day did you proud. They are all deserving of thanks .

I felt I must write and say how grateful my family and I were to Hollowells for the way you dealt with my fathers funeral arrangements. From the minute we walked in we were treated with the upmost respect and dignity. Everything was carried out with the upmost professionalism, even down to the small gestures and keepsakes. The Imperial Hearse was the most fitting way to send Dad on his final journey. Thank you to everyone.
