I would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to everyone from your Company who was involved in the funeral arrangements for my mum. Everything went very smoothly and I was treated with the utmost respect and kindness by everyone I encountered. I would be happy to recommend your firm to anyone needing funeral services. In particular I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to Ann O’Neill. She guided me through the entire process with such kindness, professionalism and efficiency. She and her team were absolutely amazing on the day – it was extremely hot, but they remained outwardly cool (not easy) and professional. They managed to combine professionalism with a human touch and were caring and supportive. I felt confident that my mum was being looked after whilst in your care and I also felt confident that all the necessary arrangements were being taken care of. Ann dealt with everything.
I really cannot express how thankful I am. I was able to concentrate on the day without worrying about anything.
When my wife died, I decided that I would like the funeral arrangements to be handled by a family firm where the service would be personal, and so I approached Hollowells. From the family’s very first contact we all felt we were in safe hands. We had so many questions and these were all dealt with sympathetically and clearly and all the arrangements leading up to the funeral went very smoothly. Our wishes were carried out to the letter.
On the day itself all the members of Hollowells staff, led by Chloe, looked after us in an exceptional manner: they were attentive and sympathetic but never overbearing in any way. We were able to spend the time we felt we needed at every stage without being rushed, which was very important to us. The orders of service were beautifully produced as were a number of keepsakes. We had decided on having my wife’s cremated remains interred in our local cemetery: Hollowells looked after the arrangements for this and also attended on the day to guide us through that process, which was more than we had expected. A helpful booklet regarding dealing with bereavement was also provided as a follow-up, along with a beautiful orchid.
Losing a beloved wife and mother is unbearably hard, but was softened as much as possible by Hollowells’ exemplary service to our family. Our thanks and appreciation cannot be overstated.

Over the past 24 months unfortunately I have had to arrange three close Family Funerals, Mum, Dad and Sister, this I have never had to do before. Mum and Dad did have a “Funeral Plan” which was arranged with Hollowells years ago. Hollowells/Ann as Funeral Director/Amy who stood in for Ann at my Mum’s Funeral/Keith was amazing helping with Music and Songs/Reception with all my extra questions all helped me going that extra distance with everything I found difficult or any problems or doubts about. Hollowells completely honoured the “Funeral Plan” with no extra costs to the Family.
My Sisters was a very complicated Funeral to arrange again Hollowells were completely understanding and there for me and my Family every step of the way!
Hollowells continues with support/information after the Funeral.

It all went very smoothly thanks to everyone’s help. One of my relatives from Scotland commented “how nice and professional” you all were ! (although one of the coffin bearers was unshaven, that did let Hollowells down a tiny bit.)
Being able to book the funeral flowers, the caterer and use your room for the wake, as well as the funeral itself…And pay for it all under one invoice will make payment from Dad’s Estate a breeze !

I was also very impressed that you liaised with the church, vicar, grave diggers etc to get dates when everyone would be available… even before I arrived to choose the casket or book a date ! : it made an unhappy situation a lot easier to bear.
I also want to thank Keith, in Design department for coming up with a lovely Order of Service and interpreting my ideas beautifully.
In fact, everyone I dealt with at Hollowells was friendly and professional.
