It was phenomenal.
It was phenomenal.
Thanks too to your staff members, Tracey and Chloe for their help and support making the arrangements for the actual funeral. Also to the kind man who arranged for me to view my Uncle before the funeral and who afterwards, drove me over to Northampton station for my return journey to London, and the kind lady in reception who on the day that I came to view my uncle also made me a welcome cup of coffee afterwards. And thanks also to Peter Wylie for his Celebrant services before and during the funeral.
You’re picking up the pieces for the bereaved. Thank you to David Phillips.
Hollowells have been magnificent both times that we have used them.
When we were aware that Mum was end of life, I contacted yourselves and was supported through the process of what needed to take place when Mum did pass. That took a little while, but when the time came, Hollowells took Mum into their care.
Amy was appointed as our Funeral Director and was exceptional. I was in France at the point Mum passed and was dealing with all arrangements remotely. Amy kept me on track with what was needed and in agreeing the smaller details. I didn’t meet Amy in person until the day of Mum’s funeral, 24th July. I spoke to several members of the team over the time we were planning, everyone was kind, friendly and helpful.
My brother and I were supported on the day by the whole team. My brother took a late decision that he, along with his son and son in law wished to be pall bearers, which the team enabled.
The little touches, like accommodating butterflies on the order of service, and returning pictures, flowers and big butterfly back to St Crispin’s Retirement Village for the wake were all accommodated seamlessly. Jayne our celebrant was also excellent.
Dad wanted to see Mum in the chapel of rest and Amy and the team did a fantastic job of preparing Mum. Dad was so happy to see Mum looking more like her old self and at rest. This has been a huge source of comfort for him.
I have sent personal thank you cards to Amy and her team, and to Jayne, but I wanted to share our positive experience with you. Things could not have been any better, we honoured all Mum’s wishes in her final journey and Dad was so impressed with how everything went.
We would both wish to say a heart felt thanks to all at Hollowells involved in caring for our mother and for providing us with a seamless day yesterday to enable us, the family and friends to say our farewells and to hold a beautiful ceremony at Abington Church and Milton. I say thankyou on behalf of my mum, too, as she had put her trust in you. You delivered on that trust and to Don previously.
I would like to thank you personally for your sensitivity and professionalism from the start and at all stages in our dealings with you. You are a credit to a very difficult profession particularly during these unbearable times. Its hard to take control of a very personal process and to remain virtually invisible at the same time. We needed you there to be honest. Seeing all the flower tributes at Milton reminds us that we are not alone in our pain and sorrow and it is a page of every life that families endure and you face each day. Thank you on behalf of all of those before and in the future.
You did us proud. Throughout the whole process you were the most helpful of anybody. You gave me the help and support and told me what to do by giving me the right information. I won’t forget that. We couldn’t have wished for better. He would have been so proud, it was wonderful. Better than I could have imagined and Amy was wonderful.
“I just wanted to say thank you for your help and support yesterday. Thank you also for putting the yellow rose on the casket before it was lowered. It was a very thoughtful touch and hugely appreciated. It was very special to me I and I know he would have loved that as did I. Also, the care we received during the viewing at the Chapel of Rest was exemplary.”
I would like to thank all the staff at Hollowells who ensured Mum’s funeral ran smoothly.
Tracey at Brafield was so helpful and reassuring when making the arrangements. She recommended Jayne Harcock the Celebrant, who delivered a beautiful service
Thank you to Amy for accompanying the hearse to Mum’s care home, to enable staff to pay their respects
Overall everything was perfect thank you.
On behalf of myself and my family we would like to thank you and your team for the respect and kind consideration shown to us for the final arrangements for Sarah Ann Smith.
Our sad situation was helped by the warmth and understanding shown to us all. We welcomed your advice and in particular the attention to detail by the lovely Ann, the items in your complimentary pack were well received by family unable to attend. ( Owing to Covid.)
