Hollowells Limited are an independent and family-owned funeral Directors based in Northampton. We are looking for empathetic, compassionate people to join our friendly and dedicated funeral-care team.
Applications are invited for the roles of Driver/Bearer and On-Call Service Team – both have flexible Days and Hours. There are no normal hours of work, a rota system is in place to meet the needs of the families and business.
As a Casual Driver/Bearer you must be well presented, punctual, physically fit and hold a clean driving licence. The vacancy requires driving of company Hearse’s, Limousines and you must be comfortable with bearing the weight of coffins with other bearers.
This position would suit active, early retired persons who have the calm, considerate disposition to deal with our families and their loved ones.
No experience is necessary as training will be provided and you will be paid via PAYE. Rates differ per services attended, overtime and additional payments will be made for both aspects of this role.
You will need a full UK Driving Licence and for On-Call have the flexibility to work weekends/overnight and be comfortable with dealing with the deceased in a respectable and professional manner at all times.
Due to the nature of these roles, ideally you will live within a 10-mile radius of Northampton.
