I want to thank Hollowells for their comforting work in staging my wife Marie’s funeral. Particular thanks to funeral director Janene Hart who guided me through the process in such a clear and friendly way. On the day itself she was a pillar of strength, who I could rely on at every turn. Thanks also to the ladies in the front office for their cheerful help and the bearers and drivers for their immaculate service,
And not least to Keith, for producing a truly beautiful order of service, a memorial to Marie in itself.
Perfect. You are beyond wonderful and made a world of difference. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you. It couldn’t have gone better, it was the most wonderful service. You are all so nice, kind and professional from the reception staff, Ann O’Neill and Peter Wyllie through to the drivers.”
Hollowells arranged my late husband’s funeral having been recommended to me by a friend. They were super efficient, caring and understanding and there for me throughout. In particular their attention to personal details I requested was most impressive as was the webcast for which I received great praise. Everything ran smoothly and to plan and the follow up information and special gestures I received have given me much comfort for the future. I have no hesitation in recommending their services.
I would like to say a huge thank you to you for the amazing service you provided following the death of my children’s Dad. Everything was handled sensitively and thoughtfully by Amy, with all the stress of the arrangements being taken away before we had time to think about them, making a very upsetting time much easier to cope with. Ours wasn’t an easy funeral either with Amy arranging for our loved one to be brought to Northampton from 150 miles away then on to another town, also 150 miles away, for the service, with everything going seamlessly on the day. Nothing was too much trouble for which we’re very grateful.
Hopefully we won’t need you again soon, but if we do, you will definitely be our first call!
The service we received has been exceptional, in particular from Ann O’Neill, Jane Gower and Jayne Gammage for the follow-up. Everyone is so good including the drivers who on the day were so respectful and kind. They are putting themselves at risk without thinking. That’s very selfless. We are being genuine when we say we really didn’t expect it to be done as well as it was. A lot of the stress was taken from us and the empathy and compassion goes above and beyond.
When we were aware that Mum was end of life, I contacted yourselves and was supported through the process of what needed to take place when Mum did pass. That took a little while, but when the time came, Hollowells took Mum into their care.
Amy was appointed as our Funeral Director and was exceptional. I was in France at the point Mum passed and was dealing with all arrangements remotely. Amy kept me on track with what was needed and in agreeing the smaller details. I didn’t meet Amy in person until the day of Mum’s funeral, 24th July. I spoke to several members of the team over the time we were planning, everyone was kind, friendly and helpful.
My brother and I were supported on the day by the whole team. My brother took a late decision that he, along with his son and son in law wished to be pall bearers, which the team enabled.
The little touches, like accommodating butterflies on the order of service, and returning pictures, flowers and big butterfly back to St Crispin’s Retirement Village for the wake were all accommodated seamlessly. Jayne our celebrant was also excellent.
Dad wanted to see Mum in the chapel of rest and Amy and the team did a fantastic job of preparing Mum. Dad was so happy to see Mum looking more like her old self and at rest. This has been a huge source of comfort for him.
I have sent personal thank you cards to Amy and her team, and to Jayne, but I wanted to share our positive experience with you. Things could not have been any better, we honoured all Mum’s wishes in her final journey and Dad was so impressed with how everything went.
From initial contact with you, Chloe, we felt a great weight had lifted from our shoulders. You gently and subtly guided us down a path which led to the best possible day Mum could ever have had under the circumstances.
It has been a couple of weeks now since mum’s funeral and we are getting back into some kind of a routine. I just wanted to get in touch on behalf of Dad and the Rockingham family to express our thanks for everything you and Hollowells have done for us. From the very first phone call, through to your initial meeting with us and the funeral ceremony, everything was handled with sensitivity, respect, and the utmost professionalism. As a result, we feel we were able to give mum the ‘send off’ she deserved and celebrate her life with family and friends in a manner she would very much have approved of. Our celebrant, Jayne Harcock, captured the essence of mum’s life beautifully and delivered the eulogy with a fitting balance of respect, empathy, and humour. Thank you all for guiding us through this difficult time with such great dignity.
We couldn’t have asked for a better Funeral Directors.
On behalf of the family I would like to send our heartfelt thanks to Ann for all your help, advice and guidance throughout the whole process from the first meeting to funeral yesterday.
You listened and delivered exactly all our wishes for which we are truly grateful.
Your professionalism is a credit to your profession.
Above all we found you to be a lovely, caring, compassionate person.
Thank you once again.
