We were very happy with the way your team dealt with everything from Helen’s first home visit to consult Arthur‘s wishes  with him from his death bed. We know that that friendly visit gave Arthur comfort and peace of mind that everything would be dealt with in his humble way-a short no fuss affair!!His wishes were honoured and given with compassion and dignity. The family from Wales were more than impressed with the service organised and conducted by Ann O’Neil and her team. His cremation was beautiful, very moving and short. The Reverend Ted Hale honoured Arthur’s wishes and Tony Edward the organist played all Arthur’s requested music.   

Once again the family thank you  for making this day special to Arthur and us all.

On behalf of my family and I regarding my husband Arthurs  funeral. We would like to thank you and your staff for the excellent care we received, everything was arranged so professionally and sensitively. It was a difficult time for us losing a loved one. Special thanks to Tracey who made all the arrangements, her personality is great, she made us feel so comfortable, she was professional, but also a very kind warm person with a sense of humour, which puts you at ease, she bent over backwards to help us get over a little hiccup, she got everything sorted how we wanted. she is an asset to you all. Also a big thank you to the lovely Ann who led the cortege, she was so kind and caring, she linked arms with me on they way to the car, and also when we went in for the service as I was upset, she was very comforting, then waited for me when we came out. also a great asset. Also special thanks to Andrew Fox the celebrant who conducted the service, what a lovely kind man, and as we had chosen how we wanted the service he went along with it with just a few tweaks, he is an asset to his profession.  And a big thank you to the pallbearers and the drivers , they are all so professional. Lastly a big thank you to Simon who did a little ceremony at Piddington cemetery when Arthurs ashes were laid in his final resting place yesterday, thank you Simon. Last of all thankyou for the lovely Orchid that was delivered to me, it is lovely.

I just wanted to thank you all at Hollowells for arranging My Dads (Dennis) funeral. You made a very difficult time a little easier by taking away some of the stress and worry with arranging everything for us. You all dealt with the funeral in a really kind and respectful way and supported us throughout the whole thing from arrangements to the service. Covid restrictions made this time even harder but again Hollowells led us in the correct way forward and made the funeral as nice as it could be at this time. The fact you had arranged my Mum s funeral 18 months before was also a pressure taken away as we already knew how well you all deal with things. It was lovely to have the two services dealt with by yourselves to give consistency and similarly for my lovely parents.

What can I say, well I think you are all amazing people.  This is the second funeral you have done for my family, the other being Mum’s husband some six years ago.  I honestly can say I felt at ease, albeit distraught at the loss of my mum, but somehow the people involved made us feel calm and able to collate everything.  The surroundings too are beautiful and restful.  Trudi on the reception area was lovely too and very understanding when I lost control one day. She made me feel that it was quite natural rather than making me feel silly. I knew in my heart that you were doing the very best for my Mum; from collecting her from Cumbria to looking after her when she arrived with you.  That was so comforting. I would thoroughly recommend the services you provide to anyone; it was simple; flawless and done with the utmost respect for all concerned.  Just a huge thankyou from all the family for everything.  Words don’t come close.  People should know how great you are.

From the point of making first contact on a Sunday to gather information I was assured by the compassion shown by the out of hours member of staff, just the fact that the call was ended by the representative calling me by my first name was such a pleasant surprise.

 Each time I visited the Beech Avenue premises I was warmly greeted, and I cannot stress how uplifting the décor was and not at all what I was expecting – congratulations to all.

 Now to specifically mention Janene, who was very calm/caring and supportive and each appointment. Outlining the process, and each time telling me not to worry and she was always available if needed.

 This was extremely helpful as I was the only family member mourning my mum’s passing, and it was very much appreciated at the funeral with the Hollowell’s bearers in attendance.
