When we were aware that Mum was end of life, I contacted yourselves and was supported through the process of what needed to take place when Mum did pass. That took a little while, but when the time came, Hollowells took Mum into their care.
Amy was appointed as our Funeral Director and was exceptional. I was in France at the point Mum passed and was dealing with all arrangements remotely. Amy kept me on track with what was needed and in agreeing the smaller details. I didn’t meet Amy in person until the day of Mum’s funeral, 24th July. I spoke to several members of the team over the time we were planning, everyone was kind, friendly and helpful.
My brother and I were supported on the day by the whole team. My brother took a late decision that he, along with his son and son in law wished to be pall bearers, which the team enabled.
The little touches, like accommodating butterflies on the order of service, and returning pictures, flowers and big butterfly back to St Crispin’s Retirement Village for the wake were all accommodated seamlessly. Jayne our celebrant was also excellent.
Dad wanted to see Mum in the chapel of rest and Amy and the team did a fantastic job of preparing Mum. Dad was so happy to see Mum looking more like her old self and at rest. This has been a huge source of comfort for him.
I have sent personal thank you cards to Amy and her team, and to Jayne, but I wanted to share our positive experience with you. Things could not have been any better, we honoured all Mum’s wishes in her final journey and Dad was so impressed with how everything went.

I just wanted to thank Hollowells, and especially you Amy, for the professional service that was provided at Mum’s funeral. I will also be thanking Andrew for the lovely service but so many people said how well they thought it all went and what a lovely send-off she had. When we spoke on Tuesday I did mention the effort that Keith and the Design Team went to in order to enhance a photo of very poor quality. They managed to improve it significantly enough though so that it could appear on the back of the Order of Service so we really appreciate the efforts that the whole team went to.
So, from all of the family, thank you once again.

Brian, Rachel, and Chris we just wanted to say a very big thank you for the wonderful way you conducted Linda’s funeral service on Tuesday. It was everything we had hoped for and you played a big part working with us to make it a special day we shall never forget.
The wake too was a lovely occasion with over 80 friends and relations chatting and telling stories of the time they spent with Linda, many not appreciating all the things she achieved during her lifetime. They too were very complementary about the service and the way the day was organised.

I’d like to thank you all at Hollowells for helping to arrange the funeral service for my late husband Steve on 14th January.
During such a sad and difficult period for me it was most comforting to know that Steve was in such loving and caring hands.
From the initial discussions through to the Service on the day, everything was provided with kindness and professionalism – this made a huge difference and I shall remember it forever.
Please also pass on my warm thanks to Rev Martin Swan for a lovely send off from a fellow Chelsea supporter – Steve would have appreciated this so much.
