As Hollowells are the official sponsors of ‘The Northampton Male Voice Choir,’ Annette and Paul where invited to join the choir on its annual tour to Lincoln.
Over 80 choir members and friends of the choir boarded the coach to travel to Lincoln for the two-night stay, with the choir singing at four venues,
Friday night 14th September saw the choir sing in the Parish Church of St Mary, Horncastle, it was a lovely evening and we all received a very warm welcome.
On Saturday lunchtime the choir sang in the prestigious Chapter House of Lincoln Cathedral. It was a great honour for the choir to sing in such a superb building.
On Saturday evening the choir travelled to St. Nicholas Church, Lincoln to be joined by ‘The Lincoln Orpheus Male Voice Choir’ in a concert with Soloist Rachel Grey. The concert was in aid of St. Barnabus Hospice Lincoln. A total of £500-00 was raised at the concert for the Hospice.
After leaving the hotel on Sunday morning the coach made its way to the town of Southwell and Southwell Minster to give a Sunday Lunchtime concert. This was a fitting end to a long and most enjoyable weekend of beautiful music with a most wonderful choir and many new friends.
