New Crematorium for Wellingborough



Wellingborough Borough Council’s new crematorium – Nene Valley Crematorium – is opening a month ahead of time on Monday 19th September.

The Borough Council of Wellingborough and its wholly owned subsidiary, Wellingborough Bereavement Services Limited have great pleasure in announcing that Nene Valley Crematorium will open for business on Monday 19th September 2016.

The Crematorium is located at 305 Doddington Road, overlooking the picturesque landscape between Millers Park and Great Doddington.

Leader of the Council Cllr Martin Griffiths said:

“This project has been a tremendous success and we have a superb purpose built facility that will be an asset to the borough and its families for many generations to come.”

Councillor Barry Graves, Chairman of Wellingborough Bereavement Services said:

“The Nene Valley Crematorium is located in a tranquil setting that respects and accommodates the wishes and needs of all of our community.”

The crematorium was built by the construction company Wates who committed to using as many local craftsmen and suppliers as possible to support the delivery of the project.
