On Thursday afternoon, 18th July 2019 the members of “Now I am One” gathered in Annette and Paul’s garden at Brafield on the Green for an afternoon of friendship and reflection to remember their loved ones who have died.
The sunny afternoon started with Annette welcoming all the quests, reading a poem she had especially written and inviting everyone to write a label of love and tie it on the 50 year old Magnolia tree in the centre of the garden.
Next eco-friendly balloons where released into the bright summer sky, taking with them the kind thoughts and prayers of all the friends in the garden, This was followed by a short time of reflection led by Mr Peter Wyllie.
The afternoon concluded with tea, coffee and delicious cakes being served. After a very joyful afternoon everyone returned home with pleasant memories and a single white or yellow rose.
